A ROYAL fan has shared the awkward moment she panicked and lied to Meghan Markle about the flowers she had brought for the royal.

TikTok user Laura-Ann Barr admitted that when the duchess asked her if she had picked the bouquet from her own garden, she pretended that she had and said “yes.”

In a comical video, Laura-Ann can be seen greeting Meghan when she visited Northern Ireland back in March 2018 ahead of her royal wedding in May that year.

The woman shakes Meghan’s hand and gives her a bouquet of flowers, saying: “Nice to meet you, congratulations.”

Meghan can be heard asking for Laura’s name, before saying: “Thank you, are these from your garden?”

In a moment of panic, Laura replies: “Yes.”

Meghan then adds: “Oh my goodness how sweet, thank you for thinking of me. That’s really kind.”

Laura-Ann, who posts under @allthatspretty, added in the video text: “That time I panicked lied to Meghan that the flowers I gave her were from my garden.

“They were really just from Tesco.”

The video has racked up over 70,000 views, with one person writing: “Sorry this is so funny.”

Laura-Ann added that she has also met the Queen and Kate Middleton and given them Tesco flowers too.
