Strictly Come Dancing 2020 have confirmed a range of celebrities to join the lineup this year, and we can’t wait!

Big names included are Olympic gold medalist Nicola Adams, who will be one half of Strictly’s first same sex couple, BBC Radio 1 DJ Clara Amfo, Good Morning Britain’s Ranvir Singh, and NFL superstar Jason Bell.

Also sashaying across the dance floor will be Max George, of The Wanted fame.

Here’s a look at everything you need to know about the star, who was once engaged to actress Michelle Keegan.

Who is Max George?

Max George, 31, will be following in the footsteps of his former bandmate Jay McGuiness, who won the show in 2015.

Max was in boyband The Wanted, who produced hits including Glad You Came, Chasing The Sun and Walks Like Rihanna.

The band formed in 2009, and consisted of members Max, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, Tom Parker and Nathan Sykes. Sadly, they went their separate ways as a group in 2014, after a world tour.

During their fame, the band got two UK number one hits under their belts and ten top ten singles.

Who is Max George dating?

Max is currently dating footballer Ryan Giggs’ ex-wife Stacey Giggs.

The star confirmed his relationship with Stacey in 2019, and they share the occasional loved-up snap together on Instagram, on which Max has 129,000 followers.

Prior to Stacey, Max was in a relationship with actress Michelle Keegan. Their romance began in 2010 and they were engaged one year later in 2011, however things ended between the pair one year later.

Strictly Come Dancing stars: Past and Present

Speaking to The Sun about why he and Michelle split, Max explained: “I had a real problem with drinking too much and that was, without doubt, the downfall of our relationship.

"I was drinking more to forget the fact I was with someone who wasn't making me that happy."

There were rumours at the time that the relationship had fallen apart as a result of Max cheating on Michelle, which he strongly denied.

Max continued: “Michelle is seen as like Britain's Sweetheart nowadays, I understand it might have looked as if there was something to hide, [but] there was no betrayal in terms of cheating…

"I tried to kid myself it would work out OK, but the moment she said she didn't want to be engaged anymore I know that something was wrong.

"It was a whirlwind. I don't regret it because you shouldn't regret anything you do. You learn."

Inside Max George’s home

Max has a stunning home which features a very cosy looking sofa and modern interiors.
