Sam Faiers has revealed she was left crying as she dropped her son Paul off at school for the very first time.

The 29 year old, who recently admitted she doesn't want a "huge" wedding like her sister Billie, took to her Instagram feed to share an adorable black-and-white photo of her four year old as she opened up on the experience.

The snap saw her little man dressed smart in his school uniform as he donned a white shirt with a striped tie alongside an oversized jacket, a pair of dark shorts and shoes.

Paul was all smiles as he held onto a folder, ready to get on with the day.

Clearly proud, Sam penned in the caption: "When your children are babies in your arms, you think far into the future about school and how it’s years away.. well that day was today for us.

"I’m beyond proud of you my darling. Paul’s first day at school honestly it was so emotional for those who aren’t there yet, brace yourself," [sic] followed by a book emoji, crying emoji and pink heart emoji.

The mum-of-two, who recently confessed she's not sure how her two year old Rosie will handle her brother going off to school, continued: "he said to me when we was in the car “I love you Mummy, are you going to cry happy tears?”. [sic]

"It was like he was reassuring me he was going to be ok," followed by a crying emoji.

The Mummy Diaries star then confessed that while she wasn't crying before then, the comment made her burst into tears.

She said: "I wasn’t even crying at this point (then I literally balled my eyes out) it’s such a huge milestone and a new chapter of life."

"I hope everyone else’s children settled in nicely lots of love x," she added followed by a red heart emoji.

Sam's sister Billie immediately replied to the post as she wrote: "My beautiful nephew we are all so proud of you Paul love you lots," followed by a blue heart emoji, a heart face emoji and a red heart emoji.

The star's best pal Ferne McCann said: "Ohhhhhhh lovely boy. So so so proud he looks gorgeous," with four blue heart emojis.

Sam and Billie's mum Suzie Wells added: "What a special day loved being there with you all today so proud of you paul treasured memories," [sic] followed by two blue heart emojis and two heart eyes emojis.
