Who has replaced Eamonn Holmes?

On February 22, 2022, Eamonn was replaced on the GB News Breakfast Show by Stephen Dixon.

Just like Eamonn, Stephen is a veteran news anchor known for Sky News.

It was announced in November 2021 that he would be joining the GB News Team.

Why did Eamonn Holmes left ITV?

Eamonn and Ruth Langsford were known for fronting This Morning on Fridays and during the school holidays.

Fans were devastated when the couple were moved from their regular slot after 15 years, and replaced by Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond.

Sources have suggested Eamonn was furious — though ITV had initially said they would regularly replace weekday pairing Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby during their breaks.

In an interview with The Sun, Eamonn cautiously said he would rather not discuss his feelings about the departure, but tellingly added: “Put it this way, I’m looking forward to a move somewhere new where they’re pleased to have me. But I wish everyone well at ITV."

In another interview in February 2022, Eamonn told the Daily Mail's Weekend magazine: "'No one explained anything to me.

"I'm all for TV companies being able to choose who works for them, but it would be nice if you were told why you were going.

"They're sly. They didn't want to announce that I'd been dropped because it would adversely affect audience figures, so they made it look as if I'd walked away from them rather than the other way round."
