When you find notes on your car, it’s not usually good news.

So when a mum noticed a letter placed on the door of her motor, her heart sank.

The parent revealed she found the message after a hectic school run where her nine-year-old son cried throughout the drive.

In a Facebook post, the parent revealed: "If you were to see a note on your car on returning from a shop, you’d automatically assume the worst… wouldn’t you?!

"Well I instantly thought 'oh god, what is this?"

Thankfully, the woman's fears weren’t realised when she went to read the letter.

She said: "Then I read the note… and wow! I instantly started tearing up but held the happy tears back so my beautiful children didn’t see!"

The heartwarming letter reads: "You have beautiful children! – Thanks for making me smile from my car.

"From one mum to another you are doing a fab job!!

"Sarah x"

The mum, who has a baby and six-year-old daughter, said the letter made her day.
