The Full Moon in Gemini peaks in the sky at 4.35am on Sunday, December 19. Full Moons are normally about letting go and starting fresh, and this one is no different. It’s also a particularly lucky lunar event since the Moon is trine Jupiter. Express.co.uk reveals your horoscope, star sign reading, astrology and zodiac forecast for December 18.
The Moon spends the day in Gemini, and it reaches full in the early hours of tomorrow morning.
A Gemini Full Moon is known for communication, attitude, and sense of adventure, according to Cafe Astrology.
You may have felt the energy building over the last few days, and the mystics at the site said now is the time to let this energy out.
They explained: “Over the next two weeks, we will discover what this means for us but for now, we can’t sit on our feelings. We need to express them.
“The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfilment of that which was started at the New Moon.
“It is an emotional time–a time of romance, fertilisation, and relationships.
“With the Moon full and bright in the sky, symbolic illumination occurs in our own lives.”
This Full Moon is going to be very emotional and feelings-based.
Cafe Astrology said: “The feelings and revelations that come up are emotional ones, as there is a sense of emotions bursting forth into our consciousness.
“It’s time to express ourselves and to let things out of our systems.
“Of course, we might want to exercise some care while doing so, knowing that what is coming out of us is not particularly rational as yet.”
The Full Moon in Gemini is curious and hungry for ideas and information, the Cafe Astrology website pointed out.
The mystics warned: “It’s not an ideal time for revealing a matter that you want to downplay.
“Whatever comes to light now is likely to have some fanfare surrounding it.
“There can be a lot of information coming in today and we should aim to take it in and process everything before making important decisions.
“The coming days are powerful for new ideas, but they’re genuinely new and require more time to develop and mature.
“A Gemini Full Moon can bring sudden awareness to our lives and a rather urgent need to know, to get an important message across, to finish a communications project, or to make an announcement. Travel and communications are also in sharp focus.”
The Gemini Moon is directly opposing the Sagittarius Sun, and this polarity is what we call the mental axis.
Cafe Astrology explains: “Gemini represents the lower mind and Sagittarius represents the higher mind.
“A Gemini Moon encourages us to think logically, while Sagittarius persuades us to think in a far broader manner.
“Sagittarius symbolises the quest for meaning and ideas that expand upon the here and now.
“Gemini is quite comfortable in his or her immediate environment or neighbourhood, while Sagittarius stimulates us to venture beyond.
“Neglecting either end of the axis will surely backfire on us.”
Ideally, today we will need to find a balance between the two energies of Gemini and Sagittarius ideologies and tendencies.
The Full Moon is also trining Jupiter and supported by the star Betelgeuse.
Jupiter is the planet of expansion and good fortune and Betelgeuse represents fame and influence.
Astrology King points out that this is a “lucky, optimistic, and generous moon phase” which “adds great power, honour and wealth”.
The site warned: “If the Venus-Pluto conjunction is causing relationship problems, Jupiter and Betelgeuse can help you avert a crisis and restore the balance.”
Mercury in Capricorn is square to Chiron in Aries this evening, though, causing issues with communication.
Cafe Astrology said: “This aspect can point to strained, unnatural communications, as well as a time when we can be a little more sensitive to criticism.
“We may doubt ourselves when solving problems or learning and expressing ourselves.
“Ideally, a temporary dip will boost our motivation to improve.”
