THERE IS nothing better than a Chinese takeaway on a Friday night sitting in front of the TV.

But, if you are trying to watch your weight – or the pennies – then this incredible fake-away version of crispy chilli chicken is the perfect meal to cook up instead.

The recipe video was posted to the TikTok account, whatjennyeats.

Jenny regularly posts videos of delicious takeaway meals she's recreated at home for a healthier lifestyle.

To start off Jenny places a bag of her favourite Iceland crispy chicken strips into the oven and leaves them to cook whilst she prepares the sauce.

She cuts up a red pepper and red onion and adds them to a frying pan.

Jenny starts to work on the real magic, the sauce, she uses; three tablespoons of sweet chilli sauce, two tablespoons of tomato sauce, 2 tablespoons of light soy sauce, one tablespoon of caster sugar, one teaspoon of rice vinegar, and a quarter teaspoon of salt.
