Woman creates a PowerPoint presentation to tell her parents she’s a stripper – and their reaction is priceless

A WOMAN has gone viral after she created a PowerPoint presentation to tell her parents that she was working as a stripper.

Lexi, from Portland, wanted to find the perfect way to let her parents know that she’s a sex worker, and settled on a slide show.

Her sister Sami captured their reaction on camera, sharing the footage on her TikTok account where it has since received over 5.4 million views.

In the clip, Lexi asks her parents to take a seat, getting them to close their eyes while she sets up the PowerPoint, entitled ‘I have a secret.’

After getting her parents to open their eyes, Lexi says: “Before you start worrying or getting excited, this secret pertains to my life, doesn’t affect anyone.

“The only reason I’m sharing is because I want the people I love and trust the most to know what’s going on in my life and be a part of it.

“What this secret does mean; I’m talented, I’m cool, I’m powerful. What this secret does not mean; I’m pregnant or in danger.”

After she makes her way through the slides, Lexi is ready for the big reveal.

“Are you ready for this? drum roll,” she says, “I’m a stripper! As in I pole dance at a strip club and I love it.”

She proceeds to answer some ‘frequently asked questions’ on the next slide.

Lexi says: “The first question, you might be thinking why? Well it’s a sex positive environment and I can express myself, through performance the theatrics if you will.

“How am I staying safe? Well you see there’s full anonymity in this club environment, you might not know how this works perse 

“The culture of strip clubs in Portland is very much sex-positive and very safe, there are no drugs or shady business practices that are common place or anything like that.

“Is that why I’m able to suspiciously afford stuff? Yes, it is, I’m making monies doing that.

“Do I do any other kinds of sex work? No. All I do is dance you see, I get to chat with people, there’s no other sort of things to it really

“Is it under-the-table income? No, I do pay my taxes.”

Ending her presentation, Lexi invites her parents to ask questions, and her “conservative Christian” mum is quick to step in with her thoughts.

She says: “I really appreciate you being forthright and sharing your life with us, and I’m glad you feel powerful.”

Delighted, Lexi responds: “It’s one of the funnest jobs I’ve ever had so I just wanted to share that with you, and you deserve to know.

“I didn’t want you to worry so that’s why I have the FAQs. there’s no reason why I didn’t tell you, I just didn’t really get around to it and I was like, you know IT’S TIME.”

Sami was equally thrilled with her parents’ reaction, captioning her video: “Jokes aside, our parents are the literal best, my mom said “I’m surprised how proud I am.”

Viewers were also touched by her parents’ reaction, praising them in the comments. 

“Your mom is so supportive omg,” wrote one, while another said, “Omg and they didn’t even interrupt after the big reveal, I love them.”
