The Queen almost caused The Big Bang Theory’s Kunal Nayyar to FAINT after actor had ‘panic attack’ during their meeting

MEETING the Queen is sure to be a nerve-wracking experience for anyone, but The Big Bang Theory's Kunal Nayyar revealed he "almost fainted" when he met Her Maj.

Speaking to Ellen DeGeneres, he explained that during his visit to Buckingham Palace in 2017, he was so overcome with nerves, he started having a panic attack.

“We went to London to meet the Queen, and I was playing it off as ‘whatever,’ but I was actually very nervous inside,” he told Ellen.

“As soon as she enters, I begin to have the worst panic attack of my life. I start thinking, ‘Oh, there’s the Queen. I’m going to faint. Why am I going to faint? I’ve never fainted in my life.'”

Kunal was at the palace for a reception to celebrate the start of 2017's UK-India Year of Culture.

He explained his interaction with the Queen only lasted around six seconds, in which she reportedly said "nice to see you again" – despite them having never met before.

And the Queen wasn't the only famous face at the reception, with Kunal explaining he also met with Prince William and Kate Middleton.

“Princess Kate told my wife that she’s beautiful,” he said. “But she didn’t say anything to me.”

But Kunal isn't the only one to have had a case of nerves while meeting the monarch.

Earlier this year, we told you how Shawn Mendes recalled the moment he stood in silence with the Queen for a VERY awkward 10 minutes.

Speaking to Ellen DeGeneres on The Ellen Show, the 21-year-old singer revealed how at Her Maj's 92nd birthday last year, he had a very awkward encounter with the birthday girl.

"I'm in this backstage area and I'm standing there waiting to go on stage and the Queen just walks up next to me," he explained.

"And, you can't say anything, you're not allowed to speak to her unless she speaks to you first.

"So it was like 10 minutes of just awkward silence between me and the Queen."

In other royal news, we told you how the Queen has bespoke Christmas crackers for the royal family – and she loves reading the corny jokes out loud.

We also revealed Helena Bonham Carter drunkenly asked Prince William to be her daughter’s godfather – but he declined.

And we showed you the Queen starred alongside Princess Margaret in Christmas pantomimes as a child – and often played the PRINCE.
