Off-White™ Explores the Intersection Between Sneakers and Boots

12/03/2020

Never one to shy away from producing something bold, Off-White™ is back with its latest product — the chunky sneaker-boot hybrid. Fitted with a Nubuck upper, the hybrid shoe sports a spray-painted body with a mottled gray tone that splashes all over the front of the shoe and drips onto the chunky sole unit, which fades as the paint moves towards the mid-sections.

This boot features a number of technical elements all around, from its Nubuck-covered and mesh-backed double tongue situation to the purple-colored metal D-ring eyelets and khaki green “SHOELACES” found running through them. The sole unit sports a lugged, almost wave-like detail to the base which is channeled further thanks to the shapes that run around the midsole and to the rear, leading the eye to the heel where you’ll find Off-White™ branding.

More Off-White™ branding appears on the lateral-side rear-quarter in the form of a white tab, while the brand’s signature zip-tie tag has been given a marble effect makeover.

Take a look at the Virgil Abloh-designed Off-White™ sneaker-boot hybrid in the gallery above, and purchase a pair for yourself from retailers such as Sevenstore where the shoe is priced at $1,347.50 USD.
