Neighbour’s savage note blasts the noise of kids’ playing – and demands they have a 9am curfew

WHEN you've got young kids under your roof, your idea of what constitutes an "early start" changes dramatically.

Before becoming parents, we'd be patting ourselves on the back if we were up at 8 – but after kids, anything after 6am is considered a lie-in.

And during the school summer holidays, letting the kids blow off steam outdoors is the only way we can get anything done in the house – which is why our hearts go out to this Australian mum.

Earlier this month, the woman, who lives in Sydney, received a rude letter from her neighbours demanding that she give her kids a 9am curfew – even though the state is currently in lockdown.

The note – which was shared on a local Facebook group – began by sarcastically congratulating the parent on her recently completed home renovations.

It read: "Your neighbours have endured many months of construction noise and now we are being disturbed by your kids in the backyard early in the morning.

"We wish to request that you keep your young kids indoors until 9am.

"There have been many occasions in recent times when your kids are out in the backyard early in the morning and they have been very loud and noisy."

What's more, the woman's neighbours accused the kids of "disturbing the peace" in the neighbourhood.

Taking aim at her son specifically, the note continued: "Sometimes they are out very early around 7:30am and unfortunately, they have very loud voices.

We wish to request that you keep your young kids indoors until 9am. There have been many occasions in recent times when your kids are out in the backyard early in the morning and they have been very loud and noisy

"Your son in particular is always screaming [at the] top of his voice."

Acknowledging that "kids will be kids", the anonymous neighbour concluded: "I'm simply asking if they can go out later so your neighbours aren't [woken up] too early in the morning."

As it was written on a computer, the parent presumably doesn't know who specifically wrote the note.

But needless to say, it sparked fierce debate on Facebook.

"Seriously! We are in lockdown. My neighbours have four boys and they are out very early and I feel nothing but compassion for them," one member wrote. "We all need to show a little patience."

While others branded it "disgusting", another added: "What a joke, construction starts at 7am where I live."

Arguing that the mum was being "inconsiderate", a third wrote: "I think parents of young children forget what it’s like to have a healthy and sufficient sleep cycle so they decide that everyone else should suffer with them."

In more parenting news, this mum was criticised for ‘embarrassing’ hamper she makes for her son 16th’s birthday stuffed full of condoms and lube

And this mum feeds her baby like a bird by PRE-CHEWING his food leaving people stunned.

Plus this mum-to-be revealed she fell pregnant while already expecting – and is now having TRIPLETS ‘conceived 10 days apart’.
