Anna Lanier, also known on social media as the Ceo of Randomness, recently took to TikTok to share her simple hack that gets her washing machine sparkling clean.
Not only this, but with Anna’s quick trick, there’s no faff involved, and your washing machine will smell amazing too.
Even better, you won’t need to go out and spend loads of cash on expensive cleaning products either.
According to this cleaning fan, if you put a lemon and some toothpaste in your washing machine, it will make it shine in minutes.
She advised: ”Cut a lemon in half and put toothpaste all over it.

“You’re ready to go to clean your washing machine.
“Put it on a regular cycle, fast cycle if you want to and drop it in.
“That’s it. It’s gonna beat those lemons up and make everything smell fresh and sparkle.”
Once the cycle had finished, Anna removed the lemon and added: “Cycle’s over, wipe it out and the lemons are ready to use over again if you want.”

Anna shared her video just three days ago, but has clearly impressed many, as it has quickly gone viral and has amassed a whopping 1.8million views.
It has 34.8k likes, 461 comments and 7,555 shares.
Many social media users were thankful for Anna’s advice and were eager to express this in the comments.

Meanwhile, someone else admitted: “I had no idea my washing machine needed to be washed lol.”
Whilst someone else asked: “Why the hell would I use the lemon over again?” to which Anna replied “If your washer is very dirty, you could use it again. Mine is a newer washer.”
