Aldi has designer dupes of Marc Jacobs and Dior perfumes for £4.99

OUTSIDE of birthdays and special occasions where perfume makes the perfect gift, we rarely treat ourselves to a new bottle – despite the luxury item being one most woman adore. 

But why spend a fortune when you can get the luxurious scent for less, with Aldi selling bargain perfumes for just £4.99 – and shoppers claim they smell EXACTLY like some of the more expensive favourites.

Posting to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK  Facebook group, one woman shared her excitement when she discovered the supermarket dupes that mimicked some more expensive brands.

The woman posted a photo of the bargain perfumes with a very detailed description of the scents.

She wrote: "Bargain only £4.99 in Aldi dupes of the more expensive perfumes!"

The three Aldi perfumes available are from the brand Lacura – which is the supermarket's own health and beauty line.

All products in the Lacura range are known to be dupes of trending and cult beauty buys from other popular and more expensive brands – but sold at a fraction of the original product's retail price.

Lacura's Floral Noir is said to resemble Daisy, the popular perfume by Marc Jacobs.

The woman posted the scent description, saying: "Floral Noir et Blanc fragrance’s floral notes offer a softer scent, guaranteeing to leave your leading lady feeling fine both inside and out".

Ok, so it doesn't sound like the description was in her words, but it sounds pretty accurate, nonetheless.

EI Exclusive Only the woman compared to Miss Dior by Christian Dior, which "embodies the fresh and sensual aroma of pink champagne and peach tree blossom".

While the third bargain perfume, Je suis Belle, is almost exactly the same as Lancome's La Vie est Belle.

Her share was very popular with fellow group members, who left dozens of 'likes' and comments, hoping to snatch up some bargain buys of their own.

While the post doesn't reveal what the perfume bottles look like, if the scent descriptions are anything to go by, then these dupes will be snapped up in no time – just in time for Valentine's Day.
