These Stars Have Spent the Most Time Naked On Screen12/15/2020
To nude or not to nude, that is the question — at least for some of Hollywood’s hottest stars. For other A-listers, though, taking off their clothes is considered just the same as any other aspect of a role they might take on. It’s all about what feels right for the character, say actors like Angelina Jolie and Leonardo DiCaprio, which may be why they’re among the actors and actresses who have spent the most time nude onscreen across their careers. That’s right: thanks to the fine people of Bingo Sites, who analyzed the filmography of 2020’s top trending actors and actresses in the name of science, we now definitively know who’s spent more time gracing the screen with their naked body, and it’s quite the list.
McGregor, who sits at the top of the male actors’ nudity ranking, has spoken to the Telegraph about why he doesn’t consider being naked in his movies to be such a big deal.
“The truth is I don’t mind doing nudity if it’s called for,” he admitted. “I’ve not done it in some films when asked to, because I felt it was gratuitous, but films reflect our lives. I love romantic films, and part of that in our modern world is sex. I don’t want to be the guy getting out of bed clutching a pillow to his dick because people don’t do that in real life. If you’ve just spent three hours making love to a woman in bed, you’re not going to be worried about her seeing you when you get up to go to the toilet. At least, I wouldn’t be.”
Green, whose notoriously naked film history has been a topic in interviews since her first film The Dreamers, is similarly blasé about the frequency of these scenes: “It is very paradoxical,” she told W Magazine. “I am so shy, and, at the same time, I kind of expose myself literally to thousands of people. I don’t really understand why I do that. I need to go through therapy!”
Curious whether Colin Farrell or Christian Bale has done more nudity? Nicole Kidman or Charlize Theron? The numbers are in — and they may surprise you.
