James Argent marked returning to the stage in Marbella by zipping around the Spanish holiday resort on his moped.

Taking his wheels for a spin, the former Towie star was seen heading out overseas on his vintage style vespa, just days after getting back on stage for the first time since the coronavirus lockdown.

Arg is back out in Spain performing at his pal and former co-star Elliott Wright’s plush restaurant/bar Olivia’s La Cala, where he is on the books as a regular entertainer.

He treated restaurant-goers to one of his crooning sessions and jokes aplenty and seemed pretty pleased to be back doing what he loves in the sunshine, as he scooted around town.

His summer season overseas comes after Arg returned to rehab to treat his cocaine addiction.

Arg had opened up about his struggle with addiction during a live interview on This Morning, where he credited his best pal Mark Wright for helping him with his recovery.

The reality star revealed he overdosed twice last year and after hitting rock bottom at Christmas, he turned to Mark for help.

‘Mark is my best friend. He’s always been there through my ups and downs,’ Arg said. ‘He has always given me tough love.’

‘Throughout the whole of December he was begging me to go into rehab, but I had given up hope and didn’t want to stop,’ he confessed.

‘I rung him up on Boxing Day and said I can’t do this anymore,’ Arg revealed.

‘It was the first time I actually thought I’m actually close to death. If I didn’t sort myself out I could have died.

‘He went out of his way to get me into a rehab in Thailand and helped me with the financial side of things. I am forever grateful. I am lucky to have friends like that.’

The Essex star spent 10 weeks at a treatment centre in Thailand to help him get his life back on track.

At the end of May, Arg marked him being five months sober on Instagram.

He told fans: ‘Thank you so much everyone for your support, It’s been overwhelming. I’m so lucky to have family, friends and an amazing girlfriend that truly love & care about me.

‘I’m praying for all the suffering addicts out there today. It’s early stages but I’m proud to say I’m nearly 5 months clean/sober and have lost 5 stone in weight. ONWARDS AND UPWARDS ❤️.’
