Final Fantasy 9 remake and Persona 3 Reload leaked by new sources

Final Fantasy 9 remake and Persona 3 Reload leaked by new sources

06/08/2023

There seems increasingly little doubt that the remakes of Final Fantasy 9 and Persona 3 are real, as two new sources add their own info.

There’s been surprisingly few leaks so far, about Summer Game Fest and the Xbox Games Showcase, but one rumour that’s been doing the rounds for a while now is the idea of a Persona 3 remake.

Various different sources have claimed that it will be unveiled at the Xbox showcase this weekend, although the fact that Persona 6 was also rumoured for the PlayStation showcase last month has brought the accuracy of those leaks into question.

Nevertheless, the rumours continue, with a new source in Japan claiming the remake is called Persona 3 Reload and that it may be out as early as this November for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. Although surprisingly there’s no mention of a Switch version.

The game is described as a ‘full remake’ but not definitive. It’s not clear what that means but it’s likely a reference to the game not including content added for Persona 3 Portable, which seems odd.

It’s once again claimed that Persona 3 Reload will be announced at the Xbox Games Showcase on Sunday, but it’s also suggested that the mysterious P5T game will also be revealed this year. It’s still not clear what that is, but it appears to be some sort of spin-off – but apparently not a fighting game or mobile title.
