Saira Khan announces she is leaving Loose Women to focus on ‘what’s really important’

Loose Woman star Saira Khan has revealed she is giving up her seat on the hit daytime TV show.

The 50 year old media personality, who rose to fame as a contestant on The Apprentice, has decided to leave the ITV programme after five years.

Writing in her column for The Mirror, the mum-of-two explained that last year's pandemic has made people realise “what’s really important to us”.

She continued that the tribulations of 2020 have “certainly made me assess my priorities, values and how I want to move forward with my life.”

The much-loved panellist then went on to announce that: “So I start this new year by saying goodbye to Loose Women.

“After five years of being a regular panellist, I’ve decided to give up my seat to another woman who will benefit from the platform as I did.”

The host then revealed that although it was a “difficult decision” she has come to the conclusion that she would like to focus on running her skincare business, Saira Skin, as well as “pursuing other media projects” and developing her “love for wellness.”
