Peter Andre receives surprise call from ex Mel B on live TV
07/19/2022Peter Andre has confessed he received a surprise call from his ex Mel B live on TV recently.
Revealing the 47-year-old contacted him live from the set of The Masked Singer Australia, on which she is a judge, Pete’s comments came as he opened up about The Spice Girls teasing that they’re all reuniting to mark their 25th anniversary.
Writing exclusively in his weekly column, he said: “The Spice Girls have teased that they’re reuniting for their 25th anniversary.
"It would be great to see them back together, especially if Victoria Beckham is involved. It would take me back to the days when Flava was number one and the Spice Girls were coming out with their first single, Wannabe.
Dad-of-four Pete, 49, continued: “Talking about the Spice Girls, you may know that Mel B is a judge on The Masked Singer in Australia and she decided to call me live from the show to ask if I was Snapdragon!
“I said, ‘I’m in England and I’m in Grease in the West End, so it’s unlikely!’ I was then asked if I’m travelling between the UK and Oz to do both shows.
"I don’t think even Elon Musk could help me travel that quickly. Maybe one day…”
Mel is a panellist on the popular show alongside presenter Chrissie Swan, comedian and presenter Dave Hughes and radio presenter Abbie Chatfield.
Pete and Mel dated for nine months back in the 1990s and are now good friends.
The singer, who is now married to NHS doctor Emily, has previously described how Scary Spice made him “grow up”, but also left him heartbroken.
Speaking on Piers Morgan's Life Stories back in 2011, he said: "I really liked Mel but she broke my heart. She treated me like I'd treated other women in the past and she made me grow up."
He added: "We're good friends now and laugh about it. I have only ever slept with one Spice Girl."

Meanwhile, Mel also discussed their fling on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories in 2019.
Piers said to her: "Peter Andre obviously was your long-time booty call…"
To which she replied: "Please don't say it like that, he's a really nice guy.
"I know I did [call him that], you know why because he wrote about me in his book, and the Spice Girls didn’t know that he was my booty call so I had to explain it to them, that all this time in different hotels I’d have to fly him in and then fly him back out."
