Jeremy Clarkson mocks Grand Tour co-stars in James May and Richard Hammond swipe02/05/2021
Jeremy Clarkson says social media ‘can be really dangerous’
Jeremy Clarkson, 60, Richard Hammond, 51, and James May, 58, have been a familiar trio for the past two decades, first on BBC’s Top Gear and more recently Amazon Prime series The Grand Tour. The Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? presenter has since opened up about the “worst” part of working with them, as he cheekily mocked the duo.
Speaking in a recent interview with publication Joe, the former Top Gear host spoke candidly about his pals and colleagues.
When quizzed about the best and worst parts of working with James and Richard, the TV star didn’t hold back.
Jeremy commented: “The best thing about Richard [Hammond] is how quick-witted and funny he is.
“[The worst thing] is how he can’t remember anything that he’s ever done, including what he did five minutes ago.”

He then joked: “The best thing about James May is… I’ll come back to you on that one.
“And the worst thing is his anorak.”
The small-screen star admitted he was not a fan of James’ waterproof jacket.
Jeremy went on: “Number one, it’s too small for him. Number two, it’s bright red which he teamed with a floral shirt.
“It’s fur lined with white fur. It’s not a good garment.”
The presenter also commented on his departure from Top Gear back in 2015 and admitted he felt “vindicated” after Richard and James also left the show.
Jeremy explained: “It was delightful really. It wasn’t just James and Richard [who left] but it was 90 per cent of the production team and all of the crews came over to Amazon with me, which was great.
“That was thrilling. I felt sort of vindicated in some ways.”

It comes after it was announced that the BBC corporation would not be renewing Jeremy’s contract five years ago.
The car-enthusiast has since gone onto film his series The Grand Tour with Amazon Prime.
Meanwhile, Jeremy recently addressed a “terrible” situation he is facing at the home he shares with his girlfriend Lisa Hogan during lockdown.
He often gets overruled by his other half and her 18-year-old daughter, Ali.
The former Top Gear presenter shared his frustrations, as he has been staying at home more often in recent months due to the third coronavirus lockdown.
The star divulged: “What about self-rule in my own house? Ha.
“That definitely wouldn’t work, because although there are only three of us here, we cannot even agree on what to have for supper.”
He added to The Times: “It’s like living in a mad and gluten-free world of primary coloured romcoms and yoga — and it’s terrible.”
