CBB star Lauren Harries furiously storms off Naked Attraction after being called ‘too old’

Transgender former child genius Lauren Harries furiously stormed off Channel 4’s Naked Attraction after being deemed “too old” by a potential suitor.

The episode originally aired in 2019, however it was played again on Channel 4 on Thursday.

Former Celebrity Big Brother star Lauren, now 44, was incensed when the show’s picker Rigby, then 27, rejected her for her age after she bared all on the risqué show.

Explaining his decision, Rigby said: "I'm looking for someone to be with permanently and I think you might be a little bit too old for me.”

Lauren didn’t take kindly to his words, saying: "Don't say that to a woman about age.

"Just make something up. That's your mother talking, alright?

"You will be slapping yourself when you know who I am but also, you'll be slapping yourself [because] you're not with me so there you go.

She then refused to hug him, saying: "Stay away. No.”

She continued: "You could have had the goods but you're not having it now because you're never going to have my backside now.

She then proceeded to storm off set, saying: "I'm going, I don't want to be around him.”

The show’s host, Anna Richardson looked stunned as she said to Rigby: "You've been properly b*****ked.”

Rigby replied: "I know.”

After her exit, Lauren described herself as an “empowered transgender woman”.

She added: "All I can say is, he's not getting this candy and he never will.”

In a later interview with The Daily Star, it appeared Lauren had still not gotten over the rejection, as she described Rigby as an “arrogant sod”.

She said: "After [Rigby] said that I looked at him and I didn't find him attractive anyway.

"I thought to myself 'well you rude, arrogant, sod”.

She went on to talk about the difficulties she faced in competition with younger girls, saying: “All the girls against me were half my age as well so it was tough.”

In 2021, Naked Attraction host Anna recalled the incident with Lauren, saying: “Who could forget Lauren Harries from series five? Our celebrated transexual celebrity.

“Lauren, who used to be the antiques dealer from the 1980’s, is now the very well-known Lauren Harries, who stormed off set after not being picked”.

Lauren found fame as a child for her extensive knowledge on antiques, appearing on television shows including After Dark and Wogan.

She came back into the spotlight after appearing on the 12th series of Big Brother in 2013.
