Beyonce’s rare photo was published as she thanked her children for supporting her creative process over the three years she spent bringing her new album, Renaissance, to life. The 40-year-old mother of three penned a love letter of gratitude to them ahead of Friday’s album release.

I want to give a special thank you to Rumi, Sir and Blue for allowing me the space, creativity, and inspiration

“I want to give a special thank you to Rumi, Sir and Blue for allowing me the space, creativity, and inspiration,” she gushed.

“And a special thanks to my beautiful husband and muse, who held me down during those late nights in the studio.”

Blue Ivy, 10, is Beyonce’s eldest child, while twins Rumi and Sir are five – but they didn’t distract her during her creative process.

In fact, the Break My Soul singer told the world that being locked inside while Covid spread through the world was one of the most productive times she had ever experienced.

“This three act project was recorded over three years during the pandemic. A time to be still, but also a time I found to be the most creative,” she wrote on her website yesterday.

“Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world.

“It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving.”

She added that her intention was to create a “safe space” for her listeners.

“A place without judgement. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom,” she explained.

“It was a beautiful journey of exploration,” the award-winning vocalist added.

Promo photos for the album so far have revealed Beyonce totally naked astride a holographic horse, stretching her arms up to the sky while her long wavy hair skimmed her hips.

One psychedelic style photo revealed the star’s body replicated multiple times in the same picture.

As the countdown clock continued on her eagerly anticipated seventh album, Beyonce also gave thanks to her late uncle, who died of HIV-related complications.

“He was my godmother and the first person to expose me to a lot of the music and culture that serve as inspiration for this album,” she wrote.

“Thank you to all of the pioneers who originate culture, to all of the fallen angels whose contributions have gone unrecognized for far too long. This is a celebration for you.”

She shared a snap of her uncle alongside a woman believed to be her mother Tina Knowles.

Her parents didn’t go unmentioned in her tribute, either.

“Mama, I love you. To my father, my O.G., my first teacher: you inspire me in every move that I make. I love you,” she added.

Beyonce’s latest album is available to download today, featuring 16 new songs.

These include collaborations with Drake, Grace Jones and Nile Rodgers, and production credits from husband Jay-Z.
