You can now stay in the home where Harry Potter got his scar

Harry Potter became “the boy who lived” after He Who Must Not Be Named came for his parents, leaving him with his signature scar. Now, the landmark spot where it all happened (in the fictitious wizarding world, of course) is on Airbnb, and you can book your stay as early as this weekend.

The De Vere House is located in Lavenham, England in a medieval village that appears as Godric’s Hollow in the Harry Potter films. This house specifically is located in the center of the village and is a former Five Star and Gold Award bed and breakfast, so not only is it beautifully magical, but the host is very accommodating to its guests.

BOOK YOUR STAY: The De Vere House, $143 per night

It holds two bedrooms, both fit with ensuite bathrooms, a private guest sitting room with a fireplace and a courtyard garden. In the dining room of the main house, you can even sit down for a full English breakfast with fresh eggs from the flock of chickens that live on a private part of the grounds (along with two Jack Russell Terriers).

All reviews of the house and host have been overly positive, with one guest who stayed at the house in August saying:

“This wonderful house oozes history from all it’s timbered walls and beams but is also cosy and welcoming and that is due to dear Jane, the owner, who goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is perfect. She delights in supplying everything you might need plus that bit more. Fresh baked banana bread on arrival, eggs from her chickens for breakfast, home made cherry jam: the breakfasts were so filling there was no need for lunch!”

The De Vere House has a two-night minimum stay at a rate of around $143 per night, plus a $37 service fee that covers 24/7 support during your trip. However, the owner is currently offering a 10 percent discount for those staying over a week. So, for a Friday to Sunday weekend getaway, the bill will run you approximately $322 and you can live like baby Harry Potter (sans dementors and you know who).
