BAGGING thousands of pounds worth of flight credits would be a dream come true for most holiday lovers.

But one woman turned down £7,600 worth of free flights – and people think she's mad.

Tiktok user Jess Ries shared a video showing her sitting on a completely full JetBlue plane on the tarmac.

She explained that the airline needed to bump passengers off to make room for cabin crew, so they offered up free flight credits to entice people to give up their seats.

Jess, who goes by @riesjess, wrote on the video: "Supposed to be on the way to Cancun but we can't leave until one person gives up their seat.

"They're offering $10,000 (£7.6k) and no one will take it."

The video has been watched 10m times and people thought she was crazy for passing up the free flights.

Someone wrote: "Girl get the next flight and take the money! Missing a few hours or even a day or two in Cancun is definitely worth that money."

Another person put: "Dude if I were on that flight and they offered that I'd be hands up in an instant."

Jess then shared a second video where she explained why she didn't take the flight credit.

Her flight was full and the airline needed to bump people off to make space for cabin crew

She said: "They started offering a ton of money to anyone who would give up their seat, but it was flight credit, not cash.

"They told us that the flight credit was only valid for JetBlue flights within one year and considering the fact that JetBlue doesn't have flights to that many destinations, it didn't seem realistic for me to spend $10,000 in flight credit on Jet Blue.

"I'm on a spring break trip with 30 of my friends and no one wanted to leave the group or ditch the trip."

In the comments section, Jess revealed that nine people eventually took the deal, one of whom negotiated the price to £11,500 worth of flight credit.

The second video has been watched 1m times and some people still thought she should have taken the deal.

One person wrote: "I would have given up Cancun for flight credit so quick", and someone else put: "Not going to lie, I would've still taken it".

But others thought she made the right choice.

Someone put: "Nope, not a good deal", and another person wrote: "Smart move, I wouldn't take it either".
