Woman reveals very clever long haul flight hack to make seats so much comfier – and it won't cost you a penny | The Sun

A WOMAN has revealed the very clever way she makes herself more comfortable on long haul flights, without paying a penny more for her seat.

Plane seats are well-known as some of the least comfortable to sit in, particularly on long-haul journeys.

However, a Tiktoker and frequent flyer revealed how she simply uses a scarf to make flying a much more comfortable experience.

The traveller, who's known as @wandering__around, showed how she creates a makeshift foot rest, which she claims even helped her get to sleep.

In the video, she is seen tying the scarf to the tray table on the seat in front of her, allow it to dangle down and act as a footrest.

She said: "This is my long-haul flight hack.

"Tie a large knot in both ends of a sarong, scarf or light blanket.

"Open your tray table and place the knots onto the outside and close.

"Pop your feet up and relax. This was super comfortable for sleeping.

"And I haven't been asked to remove it for take off or landing on any flight."

The video has been seen more than two million times, but people weren't exactly convinced it would be a good idea.

Several were concerned with how it might affect the people sitting in the seat in front.

One said: "In theory it seems harmless. However every time you’d move it will on the seat in front. So it’s a no no."

Another wrote: "I can't even imagine how miserable this must be for the person sitting in that chair."

However, others thought it was a great idea.

One commented: "Love it! will use it. Thank you!"

A second added: "This is just simply genius!"

Some plane seats have built-in ways to make them more comfortable.

TikTok user and wedding photographer Sophia Savage revealed a neat headrest trick during a flight with her partner.

She wrote: "When your boyfriend doesn't know about the airplane head cushion hack."

She then reached behind her boyfriend, grabbed the headrest and bent the headrest into a more comfortable sleeping position.

At the end of the video, her boyfriend smiled and rested his head in a much more pleasant position.
