THE most popular destinations in the world for 2022 have been revealed, and a UK city came in at number two.

The awards mark the "best of the best destinations" across the globe and ranks the hotpots holidaymakers are expected to have their eyes on.

And Brits won't have to go too far to visit the second most popular destination in the world.

London was second on TripAdvisor's list highlighting the most loved spots on the planet.

But for those of you who want to go to the destination ranked the highest, you'll have to travel a bit further afield.

Taking the top spot was Dubai which was crowned as the most popular destination in the world for 2022.

The UAE destination is popular with Brits, thanks to its hot climate – and cheap package deals.

British Airways is currently offering three-night package holidays to Dubai from £339pp.

Coming in at third place was Cancun in Mexico, a popular destination all year-round for its hot climate and white sand beaches.

A seven-night package holiday at an all-inclusive resort in Cancun is available from £943pp with BA.

The best news for Brits is that there are no travel bans to either of those destinations so you can jet off to visit.

Other European cities to make the top 10 were Rome and Paris, and the Greek island Crete was also featured.

If you fancy a city break, bag a two-night package holiday to Paris with BA from £142pp.

Or Jet2 is offering a week-long all-inclusive stay at a resort in Crete from £399pp.

Bali, Istanbul and Cabo San Lucas in Mexico were also on the list, which was rounded out by Hurghada in Egypt at number 10.
