TRIPADVISOR have named the most popular attractions in every state in the US, according to the number of tourists.

Surprisingly, Disney World doesn't make the list.

The list, revealed by Business Insider, included whale-watching, city tours and National Park visits.

The listing is based on most-booked attractions on TripAdvisor for 2018, and includes well-known landmarks as well as group tours.

If you're planning a trip to the US, read on to find out where to go and what to do in each of the US states.

Alabama: Gulf Coast dolphin cruise

Launching from Orange Beach, the two-hour cruise allows passengers to see the dolphins up close with many swimming right up to the boat.

Alaska: Whale watching and Mendenhall glacier tour

The five-hour boar tour will let tourists experience both whale watching and Mendenhall Glacier, with the first two hours accompanied by an expert to offer fascinating insights into the life of these mammals.

Arizona: Grand Canyon helicopter flight

The best way to see the Grand Canyon in Arizona is by helicopter, with a 45-minute tour overlooking the mountains, as well as the Colorado River and Kaibab National Forest.

Arkansas: Belle of Hot Springs Riverboat dinner cruise

This two-hour dinner cruise around Lake Hamilton includes local food such as catfish and BBQ platters, before an evening of dancing.

California: Napa and Sonoma Wine Country tour

Wine-fans can enjoy an eight-hour tour around northern California, stopping at three wineries in Napa and Sonama, while taking part in wine-tastings and learning about the production process.

Colorado: Rocky Mountain National Park tour

Starting in Denver, the eight-hour guided tour of the Rocky Mountains offers spectacular views of the landscape and finishes in Boulder.

Connecticut: Foxwoods Casino zip line

Starting at the Foxwoods Resort Casino, the zip line travels from 350 feet in the air from Fox Tower, landing a mile away at the Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center.

Delaware: Rehoboth Bay tandem kayak

For two hours, a tandem kayak can be used to explore Rehoboth Bay on a self-guided tour.

Florida: Miami Speedboat sightseeing tour

Georgia: Savannah Hop-on Hop-off Trolley tour

Spend two hours on Snake River overlooking the local wildlife and the 1000 Springs, as well as Box Canyon.

To see all of the most iconic buildings, such as the Wrigley Building, Aon Center and the Willis (Sears) Tower, take a river cruise tour.

Indiana: Blue River kayak day trip

You can spend the whole day exploring Blue River by kayak with this tour, and it's even a fully-guided experience.

Iowa: Field of Dreams guided home tour

The iconic destination of the 1989 film "Field of Dreams" offers a guided tour of the home lived in by Ray and Annie.

Kansas: Indoor Skydiving experience

Utah: Monument Valley Guided tour

A native Navajo guide takes tourists around Monument Valley, where you will spend three hours learning about the history.

You will also get to walk down roads where tourists are normally banned from.

Vermont: Burlington Brewery tour

Virginia: Victory Rover Naval Cruise tour

Washington: Seattle Underground History tour

Explore Seattle through its subterranean tunnels, and learn about its history from the gold rush era with the one-hour Seattle tour.

West Virginia: Whitewater Rafting Lower New River Gorge tour

The six-hour whitewater rafting tour runs through the New River Gorge National Park, hitting challenging rapids along the way.

Wisconsin: Milwaukee Sightseeing City tour

Wyoming: Grand Teton Wildlife Safari tour

The small safari group tour takes four hours, crossing the Grand Teton National park in an open-air vehicle to spot wolves, moose, elk, bears and other wildlife.

Route 66 is one of the favourite ways for tourists to see a number of states in the US.

The 3,000 mile route spans nine states, travelling from Chicago to Santa Monica.

It's even been dubbed the most Instagrammable road trip in the world, according to Brits.
