Three experiences to give a taste of post-pandemic travel02/15/2021
While it’s true coronavirus has had a massive impact on the travel industry, there’s no need to panic.
New and innovative ways to get your travel fix are being delevoped all the time, just waiting for the moment we can all get out there and enjoy them properly.
From cosy staycations and sustainable getaways to cutting-edge virtual days out, find out what the future of travel has in store.
Glamp it up
Glamping is already streets ahead when it comes to camping, with its posh tent, proper bed and fire pit. This summer, renowned Lake District restaurant The Yan is going one better and offering gastro glamping – that’s glamping with actual room service.
It has two luxury pods on its site at Broadrayne Farm and will serve dishes right to the door. You can even get breakfast in bed. Walk it all off with hikes around scenic Grasmere.
Four nights start at £275 (each pod sleeps two), meals extra. To book, visit grasmereglamping.co.uk and theyan.co.uk.

Take it slow

It aims to get travellers exploring by train, boat and bike, offering trips off the beaten track to local hotspots, hidden viewpoints and awe-inspiring detours.
It currently offers trips across the UK and France, and holiday packages start at £160pp for three nights (based on two people sharing).
