They say you should never work with animals.

But one photographer has ignored this advice – and a good thing too. Because he’s snapped a series of incredible images of a range of creatures.

Multi-award-winning wildlife Peruvian photographer Pedro Jarque Krebs captured them at various places around the world.

During the editing process, the snapper manipulates the lighting and the background to make it appear as if the animals have had their very own studio photoshoot, with some of them seemingly ‘performing’ for the camera.

The images feature in his new book, called Fragile, which aims to draw attention to the ‘precarious situation’ of the natural world. Pedro says: ‘My goal with these images is to raise our awareness of the beauty and diversity of the natural world, but – even more importantly—its dreadful fragility and endangerment.’
