Staycations are a bigger holiday trend than ever this year – as many of us look to play it safe and stick to the UK for a holiday.

According to holiday company Park Leisure, searches for staycations have shot up 384 per cent since January, and with international travel still up in the air, UK holidays are set to be incredibly popular.

And like the rest of us, celebrities will also be forced to ditch the Maldives and the Bahamas for the likes of Cornwall and North Wales.

From Gordon Ramsay and Jesy Nelson visiting the Costa del Cornwall, to the Beckhams holidaying in the Cotswolds, here's where to book to follow in the footsteps of the A-list.

Cornwall

Cornwall on the south-west coast of England is a hotbed for celeb spotting.

After all the south coast, dubbed the Cornish Riviera, has lots of beautiful backdrops that are ripe for photo opps.

There are harbour villages, towering cliffs and seaside resorts like Newquay, known for surfing.

Recent visitors have been Peter Andre, who went crabbing on Crantock beach and surfing during his break there with wife Emily and youngest children Theo and Amelia.

Strictly Come Dancing star, AJ Pritchard, and his brother Curtis were spotted exploring the beautiful sights of the county in the last year, as well as popstars Rochelle Humes and Jesy Nelson, Loose Women presenter Stacey Solomon and actress Nadia Sawalha.

Gordon Ramsay, who owns several holiday homes in Cornwall, is also a regular.

If you decide to head to Cornwall this summer Red Letter Days and Buyagift have created a travel guide for the area, covering everything from the best places to visit to the best beaches and family activities.

And that's before you even get to its towns and cities – from Exeter and Torquay to Dartmouth and Totnes, you can find great shopping, pubs and restaurants, as well as a lot of history.
