A SEASIDE B&B beat posh Claridge’s in a list of top hotels — and said its secret is to always find a parking spot for guests.

Lawton and Lauriston Court came second in Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Top 25 UK Hotels. It has rooms from £85 a night, including breakfast.

And hotelier Scott Lawton-Jones attributed its success to making sure guests are always happy — no matter what their request. 

He said: “We offer valet parking, and every guest has a parking space.

“Even if there is none available at the hotel, we will find them a space within walking distance and take them back and to.

“We always ensure everybody is enjoying themselves. 

“There’s always somebody on hand to make sure guests have all they need. Our ethos rolls down to staff.”

Scott, 42, runs the hotel in Llandudno, North Wales, with wife Hannah, 38.

It was pipped to the No1 spot on the Tripadvisor awards by The Hari in West London, which costs from £250 a night.

Claridge’s in nearby Mayfair — a British institution since the 1920s — came in third.

Its luxury rooms cost more than £550 a night.
