Mariah Carey is hosting an Airbnb for NYE – and she’s even sharing her snacks with guests

YOU can celebrate the new year in style this year by staying in an igloo on a rooftop in New York's Times Square.

Launched by singer Mariah Carey on Airbnb, the one-time offer will be for one-night only on the rooftop of the Nasdaq building.

Guests will even be greeted with a private performance from the singer.

The appearance will be on Zoom, due to Covid restrictions, but will start the New Year event in style.

It also includes $5,000 spending money in Times Square, as well as glittery outfits and props to celebrate the New Year including "2021 glasses and horns, for the countdown".

There is also a private lounge and dining area, which includes Mariah's Cookies as snacks, to watch the clock strike midnight, along with a private chef cooked dinner.

The countdown is in collaboration with Times Square Alliance and has panoramic views of the event.

This is the first year that the ball will drop at the iconic New Year's ball without a public audience since 1907.

The experience costs just $15 and bookings open on December 21 for a one-night stay on December 31.

The singer wrote on Airbnb: "New Yorkers have found the strength to carry on this year, and the people of this city are my heroes.

'To honour NYC’s resilience, I’m inviting two locals from the same household to call Times Square home for one night and sleep in a cozy dome atop Nasdaq’s terrace. Under the New Year’s Eve ball, say GTFO to 2020 in style."

Sadly Brits will struggle to take part as the US is closed to Brits.
