However, they warn that flights to Spain from Scotland will only resume from July 25.

Flights to Portugal and Cyprus will not resume until August 1 due to government restrictions.

It now means Brits can get some bargain deals this summer, with all-inclusive deals from £389pp.

Last minute deals this month include a week in Lanzarote from £360pp while flights start from just £30 each way.

The airline has also introduced new safety rules for Jet2 passengers.

They include masks for anyone aged six or over, keeping hand luggage light and restricted boarding.

Before arrival at the airport, passengers are asking to access the Jet2 app and check-in online, then download their boarding pass.

While the airline is still allowing up to 10kg of hand luggage, they are asking customers to pack as light as possible – although everyone should pack as many masks as they will need for their whole holiday.

Travellers aged six and over should put their mask on before they enter the airport and keep it on throughout their journey.

Face coverings such as scarves, snoods and balaclavas are not considered acceptable by Jet2.

Once at the airport, guests can either drop their bags with a member of staff or use their one-touch self service kiosks.

Food and duty-free items are still being sold onboard, but customers are asked to use contactless payments wherever possible.

Other airlines have already resumed flights to Europe, albeit on a limited schedule.

EasyJet launched their domestic routes last month, followed by international routes on July 1.

Ryanair also resumed flights this month, with a flash sale on with £9.99 seats until midnight.
