Get flights from just £4 as searches spike 60% since Covid testing changes

HOLIDAY bookings and searches have spiked since pre-departure Covid tests were scrapped earlier this year.

But incredibly, there are still great value flights around with prices sometimes cheaper than they were in 2019.

According to flight comparison site Kayak, there was a 60 per cent increase week-on-week in searches for flights on its website following the announcement in January.

The changes meant that families could save hundreds of pounds on each break by avoiding pre-departure Covid tests if they’re fully vaccinated.

And from today, all Covid tests have been scrapped for vaccinated Brits, with another boom expected.

Despite the huge interest in flights, there are still incredible deals waiting to be snapped up for this summer.

Laure Bornet, general manager for Kayak EMEA, said: “We’re currently seeing several popular destinations with average flight prices lower than pre-pandemic 2019 levels, including Madrid, Porto, Athens, Milan, and Bangkok, to name a few.”

The cheapest flights we spotted were to Milan Malpensa, where the cheapest fare was just £4 each way.
