Game of Thrones fans can still get their fix of the fantasy series thanks to a brand new walking trail in Belfast.

Dubbed 'Glass of Thrones' the special trail, a campaign by Tourism Ireland, sees six stained-glass windows being tucked away across the city, each one paying tribute to a key House from the show and depicting iconic moments from the series.

In fact, fans will be able to take a look back at important highlights in the stories of the Starks, the Lannisters, the Baratheons, the Targaryens, as well as tributes to the White Walkers and the iconic Iron Throne.

Northern Ireland is of course a fitting setting; it's already home to plenty of Game of Thrones' filming locations .

The windows will be on display for 12 months – you can download their exact locations using the handy map tool here .

Looking for more? Then head to the Ulster Museum where a special hand-designed Game of Thrones tapestry has been woven, depicting key moments from seasons one through to seven.

Further panels for season eight are currently being created and due to be added to the tapestry later this month (June 2019).

There's no denying that Game of Thrones provided a huge boost of tourism in Northern Ireland.

In fact, it's estimated that in 2018, approximately 350,000 visitors chose to visit the country because of the hit TV series, subsequently spending over £50million in the local economy.

There's no doubt more to come too as a Game of Thrones Studio Tour is due to open in spring 2020.

Promising an immersive experience, visitors will be able to get a behind-the-scenes look at sets, props, costumes and more from the hit TV show in what will be a permanent exhibition.

Highlights also include the 'interactive Costume department station' as well plenty more from the Production Design and the Art Department including the Armoury.
