France lifts number of travel restrictions for Brits from today

01/07/2022

FRANCE has lifted some of their travel restrictions which have banned Brits from travelling to the country.

Last month, France banned all UK arrivals to the country due to the Omicron variant.

However, some of the restrictions have now been eased, the France Consul has confirmed.

They wrote on their social media account: "As of January 6, 2022, the list of compelling reasons is extended.

"In particular, business trips in both directions and transits through France to reach their home in the EU are facilitated."

This means work trips can now go ahead, and Brits can travel through France to go to other countries if they have their home there.

Tourists are yet to be welcomed back with holidays still not a valid reason to enter France.

It is hoped these will also be eased in upcoming weeks.
