Former Thomas Cook hotels to relaunch in Greece, Spain and Turkey this year – from £347pp

FANS of Thomas Cook's hotels will be pleased to hear that some of the the chain's hotels in Greece, Spain and Turkey will be reopening this summer.

The company, which was Britain's oldest tour operator, went bust in 2019 but was relaunched by Fosun Tourism Group last year.

Now they're bringing back Cook's Club hotels – eight hotels that were launched in 2018 aimed at luxury millennial travellers.

The modern beach hotels offer stripped-back design and live DJ sessions, as well as a range of fitness activities.

Their on-site Cantina eateries offers a mix of global street food, and the cocktail menus are created by a Berlin-based mixologist.

Currently Cook's Club has eight hotels in sun and beach destinations, including Rhodes, Kos, Bulgaria, Majorca, Turkey, Egypt and Crete.

In 2022, there are plans to expand further, with potential hotels in Ibiza, Corfu and a second one in Rhodes.

Of course, foreign holidays are still banned for Brits, with the
government reviewing the ban on April 12 and borders reopening no
earlier than May 17.

There is no certainty that foreign holidays will go ahead at all this
summer, but several countries including Cyprus, Greece and Turkey have
said that they are in talks with the UK government about travel
corridors.
