CHESSINGTON World of Adventures Resort is opening a new land next month – Shipwreck Coast.

Opening on July 15, the land has been designed to look like a disaster-ridden town.

It includes two new rides, Trawler trouble and Barrel Bail Out.

In Barrel Bail Out, guests will be whizzed around in barrels trapped in a whirlpool that they have to empty of water.

Meanwhile, on Trawler Trouble the captain of a trapped fishing boat needs help getting it freed, so guests will be tossed around like they're riding choppy waves.

The new rides sit alongside Seastorm, with its spinning miniature galleons, and the Blue Barnacle.

The land takes inspiration from coastal harbour towns with nautical themes such as lighthouses, boats, sails, fishing nets and anchors.

Kevin McIlmurray, Head of Guest Experience said: “Our team have taken the much-loved Pirates’ Cove land and transformed it into this incredible harbour town, Shipwreck Coast."

Before this, the most recent new ride wasCrop Drop, which opened at the theme park last year.

Tickets start from £39 per person and under threes get in free.
