Family looking for couple to work on their private island in the Bahamas

How do you fancy jacking in the nine-to-five and starting a new life on an exotic island? Well now you can… with the slight catch that you will still have to work.

A wealthy family is recruiting a couple to take over the domestic management of their household on their private island in the Bahamas.

High end domestic recruiter Polo & Tweed have listed the job advert on their website, with the family looking for a couple who are experienced in domestic duties and household management. So, if that sounds like you, you could be in for an epic change of scenery.

The family in question also owns a vast estate in Naples, Florida, just in case those sparkling blue waters and sandy beaches start to get a little monotonous.

Naturally, hopping between the two residences will all be via the family’s private jet.

And the salary for the right couple is around £90,000. Which isn’t to be sniffed at.

If that wasn’t enough, the employment package also includes accommodation, health care and dental benefits.

And with weekends off, there is plenty of time for rest and relaxation – whether that’s swimming with pigs in the nearby Exumas, enjoying some of the best diving and watersports in the world, or simply basking in the sun and gazing at palm-fringed beaches.

Of course, you will be spending your time during weekdays, cleaning, organising and managing the family’s vast estates – both in the Bahamas and in Florida. And with the Bahamas estate consisting of four homes with four bedrooms in each, that is no small undertaking.

The family are looking for an experienced couple to become long-term team members to help manage and care for their homes, and travel with the family.

‘This really is a once-in-a-lifetime position,’ says Polo & Tweed founder Lucy Challenger. ‘So much so that the client laughingly told me that he was tempted to apply for the job himself.

‘Needless to say, we have been inundated with replies since the job went live on our website over the weekend. But we’ve yet to compile a short list so we would urge interested couples to send through their CVs without delay.’
