DISNEY fans are running out of time to visit a popular theme park, as it is set to close next month.

Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, has announced the closure of one of its water parks.

From mid-March, Blizzard Beach will be closing its doors while it undergoes refurbishment.

The theme park hasn't revealed a reopening date yet.

Sun Online Travel has approached Disney for comment.

While the water park will be closed from March 19, guests heading to Walt Disney World won't be without a water park.

On the same day as the closure of Blizzard Beach, Disney's Typhoon Lagoon will reopen after it also underwent a refurbishment.

As well as the reopening of fan favourite Typhoon Lagoon, Disney will be launching a series of new rides and attractions this year.

This is because the Disney theme parks are celebrating 100 years of the Walt Disney Company this year.

After being under construction for five years, Disney World has announced the opening of a Tron-themed ride for next Spring.
