Christmas market breaks are going for £99pp but you find out where after booking

Thinking of a getaway to the Christmas markets , but not sure where you want to go first? You may want to check out Wowcher's latest deal .

That's because the vouchers website has brought back its popular mystery holidays for £99pp – and this time, there's a festive twist.

So how does it work? Well, you book a holiday for £99pp which includes both your hotel and flights – but you don't find out the destination until after you've booked.

Hotspots include some of Europe's best Christmas markets such as Cologne, Stockholm and Madrid, as well as festive favourites like New York. Or, if it's winter sun you're after, you could bag a trip to Dubai for £99pp like this lad did.

You can already book the Wowcher mystery holiday deal but you'll want to be quick as the offer expires at midnight on Saturday 5th October.

The choice of dates for travel is more generous though, with the deals valid for select dates until the 20th December 2019 (when you book the voucher you can list your preferred dates).

The destinations will be allocated at random in a draw.

It does feel like a bit of a risk, but the good news is that if you're not happy with your allocated destination, you don't have to go; as long as you haven't confirmed the booking you can get your money back.
