DOUBLE jabbed Brits will now be able to go on holiday to amber list countries without having to quarantine, with new rules in place from July 19.

That means summer breaks to mainland Spain, Italy, Greece and Portugal are now on the cards for the school hols.

The announcement is also expected to see holiday bookings soar, with airlines and tour operators seeing a huge increase in demand whenever a country is added to the green list.

One popular holiday hotspot for Brits are the Greek Islands, which includes Crete, Rhodes and Santorini.

Here are some of the best Greek island deals to take advantage of when travelling this month or in August.

Brits can visit Greece without having to quarantine on arrival, although will need a Covid test and a completed Passenger Locator Form.

Non-jabbed Brits will still have to quarantine for 10 days when returning to the UK.

The rules apply to both mainland Greece and the islands.

Brits who have had both Covid shots will also be able to zoom through fast-track lanes at Heathrow under blueprints to open up travel to amber list countries without the need to quarantine.

Travellers will be able to digitally upload their vaccination certificates ahead of their flights and be directed to separate queues at the London airport after presenting them on arrival.

The scheme will be trialled by British Airways, Virgin and Heathrow following a meeting last week with Downing Street officials.

Healthy Secretary Sajid Javid confirmed earlier this week that double-jabbed Brits will be allowed to skip self-isolation from August 16.
