‘Angels exist’: Gayle King, Holland Taylor thank Delta employees for finding lost items

Stars: they’re just like us — even when it comes to losing belongings on planes.

“Two and a Half Men” star Holland Taylor and CBS News anchor Gayle King each took to social media to thank Delta Air Lines employees after they recovered the celebrities’ lost items.

“Hey, ⁦@Delta⁩ – it’s pretty great when you lose a damb (sic) earbud deep in the mechanical workings of your seat, & the damb (sic) CAPTAIN, who just flew you across the damb (sic) country, comes outta the cockpit with flashlight & screwdriver & a smile, and FINDS it for you! Capt Eric Yaw,” Taylor tweeted on Thursday.

“Hi. Holland. Thanks for publicly complimenting our pilot,” the airline replied to her. “It’s comforting to hear how he was able to assist you in finding your earbud. We’re proud of him too and I will let his leadership teams know. Happy Travels!”

“As Joseph pointed out he’s a genius … thank you zina (and Joseph) ! Isn’t it ironic I was doing a story on Instagram & Instagram helped reunite me and my wallet! Whew!” King wrote.

Delta responded on King’s post as well: “So happy to hear that Zina was able to get your wallet back to you, Gayle! It is always a rewarding feeling when our customers appreciate our efforts. Thank you for sharing this wonderful experience with us – ah, the power of social media!”
