A young woman who says she was grabbed and thrown onto the pavement by a road rage thug has slammed the police response.

Meghann Patten claims police still haven't looked at dashcam footage of the incident in Bury, Greater Manchester, last Sunday.

The 26-year-old says she was left with cuts and bruises after confronting a man who she alleges cut up her mum Allyson, 53, in nearby Radcliffe.

The footage shows a silver Audi TT driving along the road – in front of the car they were travelling in – before putting on its brakes.

The clip then cuts and the same car is seen stopping at a junction.

A man then gets out and is seen walking over to the driver's side before Meghann runs around the car towards him.

He then grabs her by her top and they grapple in the road before he throws her out of shot.

Allyson then gets out the car as a passenger in the car in front then opens the door.

He then gets back in his car and drives off as Meghann is seen kicking the door.

But despite recording the incident on her dashcam; Meghann, from Bury, Greater Manchester, claims police have not yet looked at it.

She added she was told officers could not do so until they had visited her at home to formally take a statement.

GMP said officers are forced to make 'difficult decisions when prioritising calls' and said their enquiries are ongoing.

Meghann added: "I understand there's a lot of crime to deal with, but I was trying to give them the physical evidence.

"I put a complaint in at Bury Police station and someone was meant to ring me later that day, but they never did."

Meghann said she has been left with anxiety after the attack, which forced her to take a week off work.

Describing the incident, she said: ""I was just so shocked – I feel angry that he could do this to someone and get away with it.

"It's so worrying knowing he's still out there."
