Woman mortified after microblading treatment leaves her with ‘monster eyebrows’

A woman has opened up about a microblading treatment fail which left her with “monster eyebrows”.

Shannon Bozell splashed £286 ($350) on the semi-permanent procedure that involves tiny needles scratching the skin.

But she was horrified when she was left with “big caterpillar eyebrows” which forced her to change her hair to cover them as much as possible.

Shannon, from Michigan, US, told CBS Austin that her dreams for the perfect brows went out the window when hers were much darker and bigger than she had hoped.

She said: “I went from having zero eyebrows to having these monster eyebrows, and it’s hard to swallow. They’re big caterpillar eyebrows that don’t fit my face.”

When she entered the salon, Shannon had thin, blonde brows and when she left, it was a completely different story.

Shannon went back to the salon to complain and was offered another appointment to try and fix the lightening and the arch.

However, only 24 hours after the second procedure, Shannon noticed two large blisters forming on the arches of her brows.

The salon explained to her that because she underwent two treatments in a short period of time, a lengthier recovery was expected.

She was then told to wait 30 days after the alteration so the eyebrows could shrink and would then reveal the newer, lighter colour.

Shannon was denied a refund several times with the salon offering to fix them instead of giving her the money back.

Her before and after snaps have since gone viral after she shared photos of the “monster brows” on social media.

The salon owner hit back on Facebook , calling Shannon’s post “hurtful” but has since deleted the post.

She also added that her business “is her everything” and despite her efforts to book Shannon in for future treatments, she declined.

Instead, Shannon went to have the procedure fixed by another salon.
