A shocking road rage video shows a potty-mouth female driver hurling abuse at binmen and threatening to "belt" them.

The clip filmed in West Kirby, Merseyside, shows the furious woman screaming at the workers because their lorry is temporarily blocking part of a street in a 30-minute stand-off.

She tells Wirral refuse collection staff  to f*** off and says she'll get out of her car and "belt them" before stopping them from loading bins onto the lorry by being too close to the rear of their vehicle, Liverpool Echo reports.

Aaron Casey-Sloan, 22, was in the car with his two young children aged five and 19 months, witnessed the woman's actions when he got stuck behind the stand-off on Tuesday.

The dad-of-two said her tirade of abuse held up a trail of other cars behind her for nearly half an hour, as she called the binmen "lazy b******s" and threatened to assault them.

The bin lorry was stopped close to a junction when the woman, wearing a multi-coloured hat and fluffy coat, started verbally abusing staff.

Aaron's video shows the woman shouting: "You four-eyed f*** – f*** off, before I belt you. These already think I'm high, I'm not high. You can record it if you want, I don't give a f***."

Speaking to the Echo, Aaron said: "It was about 11.45am. I was in my car and I had my two kids in the back and I wondered what was going on because I saw the lorry and one of the binmen started taking pictures of the [Audi].

"I went up and had a look what was going on and I was confronted with this woman. I would say [the incident] lasted about half an hour.

"I got out to film it because I was sat in the car for five or 10 minutes and I could hear this shouting so I went over with my phone."

He added: "They are just trying to do their jobs properly."

Aaron said the refuse collection supervisor tried to explain to the woman about how they worked, in an attempt to calm her rage.

The incident seems to be sparked because the woman wanted the bin workers to park the lorry around the corner so she could pass.

She can be heard saying: "That's me point – you couldn't just go round there could you?! Ey!? Could he have gone round that corner? Yes he f*****g could."

"He was going round the corner and he stopped. Look at the position of his van, he's going round – why didn't he carry on?"

She later shouts: "He could have got round that corner" to which one of the refuse workers replies: "Well you could have waited until he got the bins in."

The abuse only ends when the bin lorry eventually pulls off and the woman shouts: "Y'ar look! Now where's the harm in that? Why didn't he do that, that's my question."

As her silver Audi eventually pulls off, she calls the binmen "lazy b******s".

It is understood the incident was not reported to police.
