It’s the most wonderful time of the year! As you’re starting to shop for presents and firming up your holiday travel plans, there’s one destination that should definitely be on your list this year: Universal Orlando Resort. Now through January 1st, the iconic theme park is celebrating the holidays in style, with fun and festive activities for all ages. From a holiday parade to limited-time holiday-themed merchandise and stunning seasonal decorations, the park is full of can’t-miss activities and holiday cheer. Here’s what you can expect this season at Universal Orlando Resort.

Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s

During the park’s annual holiday parade, guests can experience the excitement as more than 30 larger-than-life balloons take the streets of Universal Studios Florida, along with appearances by the Minions from Illumination’s Despicable Me and other fan-favorite characters from DreamWorks Animation’s Shrek and Madagascar. This parade also features beautifully decorated floats and hundreds of festive performers that fill the streets with holiday cheer. Guests won’t want to miss the spectacular finale led by the one and only Santa Claus, as he passes by and lights the 80-foot Christmas tree that has become a holiday icon at Universal Studios Florida.

“Grinchmas” at Universal’s Islands of Adventure

The spirit of Grinchmas comes to life at Universal’s Islands of Adventure with the “Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular,” a live retelling of Dr. Seuss’s holiday classic starring the Grinch himself. The celebration continues in Seuss Landing, which will be adorned in whimsical yuletide décor, including oversized candy canes, twisting Christmas trees, wreaths and beautiful tinsel ornaments. While strolling the land, guests can enjoy special appearances by the merry Whos from Who-ville as they prepare for their favorite holiday, and even meet the mean, green one himself for a special photo opportunity.

Mannheim Steamroller Performances

The best-selling holiday artist of all time, Mannheim Steamroller, returns to Universal Studios Florida to fill the air with the iconic sounds of the season with live performances on December 10 and 11.

Limited-Time Festive Beverages

While wandering the park enjoying the festive activities, guests can satisfy their holiday cravings with Universal Orlando’s large selection of holiday-themed food and beverages. On the Coca-Cola Freestyle machines found throughout the park, guests can enjoy limited-time refreshing holiday mixes including Coca-Cola and Coke Zero Sugar Vanilla Swirl, Coca-Cola and Coke Zero Sugar Creme Soda, and Sprite and Sprite Zero Sugar Vanilla Frost.
