My wife went to see the GP and he ran a few tests but they came back as normal.

He said we should be patient but I’m wondering if there is something else we can do to help us conceive.

DEIDRE SAYS: It might help if you have some tests done too, just so that you can be reassured that there are no problems with either of you.

Most couples have to wait for at least a year of trying before any doctor will investigate – hence your doctor telling you to be patient.

Try not to stress too much about getting pregnant, as this in itself can prevent conception.

My support pack called Want To Have A Baby? has some other tips.
