After the government’s latest announcement, millions of Brits’ had their Christmas dreams shattered.

Tier 4 restrictions means those in London and the South East can’t form a Christmas bubble at all, and those elsewhere in the country only on Christmas Day.

That means millions of Brits have been forced to rethink their Christmas plans with less than a week notice.

Many who have planned to visit family or friends for their Christmas dinner have found themselves without food for the big day.

But luckily, Uber Eats is here to save the day. Customers will be able to order an “Emergency Turkey” through the app between December 22 and 24.

Customers will be able to buy a full turkey for £20 or a turkey crown for £10, which will be perfect for those smaller households.

The turkeys will be delivered frozen in thermal bags to keep them protected.

Customers will also receive fresh seasonal vegetables and specially made stuffing mix.

But those who are stuck this Christmas are urged to be quick as the offer will only be available while stocks last.

Toussaint Wattinne, General Manager of Uber Eats in the UK, said: “Christmas is somewhat different this year, especially for those who suddenly find themselves in tier four without being able to see friends and family."

He continued: “It may be far from perfect this year, but being able to order an Emergency Turkey along with the trimmings will help people in Tier 4 make the most of Christmas at an affordable price.

“We will continue to offer customers across the country the best choice of food, grocery, convenience and alcohol deliveries throughout the festive and new year periods.”
