This Baby Yoda Christmas cookie hack is a game changer

Tis the season to be jolly, and also to be obsessed with Baby Yoda.

Since the little one made their appearance in Disney+ series The Mandalorian in November, people have been losing their damn minds.

The 50-year-old infant has spawned countless memes, a Saturday Night Live spoof and now a Christmas cookie recipe. And it’s an easy recipe at that.

Reddit user geoGal42 just took to the Star Wars subreddit to share their baking efforts, revealing a Baby Yoda cookie. The caption simply read: ‘Beheaded the Angel cookie cutter. No regrets.’

You can replicate this colourful creation by simply using an angel cookie cutter – which you’ve probably got within reach this time of year – discarding the head portion of the cookie, and then icing it with a steady hand.

People have been delighted with the slightly morbid hack, commenting ‘Hark the Herald Angels DIE’ and ‘Ok, so as soon as I wake up tomorrow, I’m going to buy an angel cookie cutter and cut its head off. Then I’m making cookies.’

Bakers have also taken to Twitter to share their own versions of the cookie hack. The results range from seriously impressive to ‘wow, you tried’.

This isn’t the first edible – and festive – manifestation of Baby Yoda. Pie influencer Jessica Leigh Clark-Bojin aka The Pieous wowed her 66,000 Instagram followers with a ‘RaspBaby Yoda pie’ earlier this month.

The delicious dessert features the youngun clutching a mug of hot chocolate, surrounded by holly, candy canes and even Clone Trooper helmets. Now that’s attention to detail!
