If your party is larger than expected and you find yourself in need of a few more drinks, it will depend on the state you live in whether liquor stores are open.

Some states ban the sale of alcohol altogether on Thanksgiving Day, meaning liquor stores stay closed on this holiday.

In other states, like Alabama, only certain types of alcohol can be sold, where in some it depends on the parish.
